The Ministry of Tourism’s Phinisi Ship Showcases Diving Destinations

The Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) is again spreading the charm of exploring underwater Indonesia. Raja Ampat and Labuan Bajo, number one and two for snorkel sites in the world. Not to mention the islands of Komodo, Derawan, Togean, Walatobi, Gili Air and Bunaken. All of these destinations have some of the world’s best diving spots and are a paradise for divers.

Vincent also explained, Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has the beauty of the sea in the world with oceans covering 70% of the total area of the country. Archipelago waters store the wealth of the best coral reefs in the world.

The richness of biology and the clarity of the water have made the Indonesian Marine Park area popular to foreign countries and is also known as a tourist spot. As a maritime country, Indonesia has the longest coastline in the world with a total area of coral reefs of around 51,000 km2. Data shows that the number of coral reefs in the Indonesian seas accounts for 18% of the total area of the world’s coral reefs.
